                National Engineering Laboratory for Green Chemical Productions of Alcohols-Ethers-Esters

                As Approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Engineering Laboratory for Green Chemical Productions of Alcohols-Ethers-Esters was founded in 2008, and passed the evaluation in 2012. The laboratory is managed by the director under the guidance of the council and technical committee. The objectives focus on the development of green catalysts and the technology of clean production in the field of alcohol-ether-ester chemical engineering processes. The missions of the laboratory are to carry out the industrial application, the industrial experiments, the evaluation of experiment design, the research on the standard analysis, personnel training, international exchange and cooperation, and technology application. The laboratory are committed to further enhance the overall ability of independent innovation, to promote the technological progress, and to provide a strong technology support for the industry.

                The laboratory is composed of seven branched laboratories, one instrument and  analysis test platform, and one scale-up platform of process and technology. The seven branched laboratories are methanol and higher alcohol synthesis laboratory, ethers and esters synthesis and conversion laboratory, water-gas-shift reaction and purification process laboratory, advanced catalytic materials laboratory, catalytic process and engineering laboratory, catalysis and reaction laboratory, and nanocatalytic materials laboratory.

                The laboratory buildings consist of one Research & Development building of  5000-square meters and one Process and Technology Scale-up platform of 1000-square meters. The laboratory is equipped with various modern facilities such as powder diffraction, thermal weight instrument, infraredinstrument,etc., possessing the ability to undertake state and/or enterprise engineering research.
